Membership and advanced classes Info

Next Step Clay is a membership studio for more independent clay artists. We also offers advanced classes(For beginner classes check out our sister site at Out of Step Clay)

Membership Info: 

People who are interested in a Membership have two options. Month to Month or a six month commitment. The benefits are the same, the costs are different. 

Month to Month Memberships cost $215(+35 for your first bag of clay) a month. $250 total

Six Month Commitment cost $190(+$35 for your first bag of clay). $225 total 

-Memberships starts on the first of each month.

 -62 hrs of studio access a week, 28 days out of each month(days off will be built largely around holidays). 

-one 2’x4’ shelf in our studio to store your work, clay, and tools. 

-use of general studio equipment and glazes(only NEXT STEP staff will be allowed in the kiln area to fire all work)

-studio glazes and firing fees are included with each bag of clay purchased from our studio(absolutely NO outside clays or glazes are allowed in the NEXT STEP studio). 

-One bag of clay is included in your monthly fee. Additional clay(glazes and firing fees) can be purchased at $35 a bag.

-use of classroom wheels and equipment during non class time. 

-first dibs at any workshops and classes offered at NEXT STEP CLAY Studios(also discounted) 

-Monthly Friday evening demos and potlucks. We want to build a community and your creative ideas, so once a month we will welcome members, students, and our friends from Out of Step Clay into our studio for a staff demo and some snacks and drinks to enjoy each others time. 

Advanced Classes:

If you are not yet comfortable working in our studio independently, or need 62 hrs of access a week, we offer advanced classes to get you to a point of more independence in our studio space. Six week Classes cost $335

-Class fee  includes clay, glazes and firing fees.

-Up to 5 additional hrs of studio time each week to work with clay. Plus 5 hrs after your class has ended to finish up any unglazed work. 

-First dibs on any open membership spots if the studio reaches capacity. 

-Monthly Friday evening demos and potlucks!
