Scholarship Fund

Support Out of Step Clay Students

At Out of Step Clay, community comes first. We believe that art should never be out of reach, especially for those who need it most. That is why we created our scholarship program: to provide free or reduced-cost clay classes to adults and children who might not otherwise have access.

Clay is more than art. It is a way for people of all ages to create, to express, and to imagine. Scholarships help ensure that anyone who wants to experience the joy of working with clay has the chance to do so, no matter their financial situation.

Stevens Elementary

One example of what these scholarships can do to help Stevens Elementary.  A Chapter 7 school in Wheat Ridge serving 469 students in grades K–5, Stevens has nearly 70% of its students living below the poverty line. And recently the school lost its clay teacher. We knew we had to help.

Joshua, founder of Out of Step Clay, made the choice to sell his own clay artwork to raise funds for scholarships at Stevens Elementary. 100% of these proceeds go directly to bringing clay art back into the classroom.  Every sale helps sponsor kids’ classes and rebuild a space for imagination and belonging.

Clay is more than just art- it is a way for children to create, to express, and to imagine. For many kids at Stevens, clay class is now a safe place where monsters and robots came to life in their hands. Without it, they lose not only a creative outlet but also a space where they can feel supported, proud, and part of something bigger.
